Ohio St. against the SEC

In 2006, Ohio State was blown out by Florida 41-14 on a neutral field. In 2007, OSU was blasted by LSU 38-24 on a neutral field.

Let's see how OSU might have done against the SEC those years.

2006 Florida

9/16 @ *Tennessee (9-4) W 21 20
9/23 vs. *Kentucky (8-5) W 26 7
9/30 vs. *Alabama (6-7) W 28 13
10/7 vs. *Louisiana State (11-2) W 23 10
10/14 @ *Auburn (11-2) L 17 27
10/28 vs. *Georgia (9-4) W 21 14 @ Jacksonville, FL
11/4 @ *Vanderbilt (4-8) W 25 19
11/11 vs. *South Carolina (8-5) W 17 16
12/2 vs. *Arkansas (10-4) W 38 28
1/8 vs. Ohio State (12-1) W 41 14 @ Glendale, AZ BCS Championship

Ohio St. put up less of a fight than every single SEC team.

2007 LSU

8/30 @ *Mississippi State (8-5) W 45 0
9/22 vs. *South Carolina (6-6) W 28 16
10/6 vs. *Florida (9-4) W 28 24
10/13 @ *Kentucky (8-5) L 37 43
10/20 vs. *Auburn (9-4) W 30 24
11/3 @ *Alabama (7-6) W 41 34
11/17 @ *Mississippi (3-9) W 41 24
11/23 vs. *Arkansas (8-5) L 48 50
12/1 vs. *Tennessee (10-4) W 21 14
1/7 vs. Ohio State (11-2) W 38 24 @ New Orleans, LA BCS Championship

So, Mississippi St. and Ole Miss are the only teams that lost to LSU by more points than the Big, Bad Buckeyes. LSU had 7 SEC games decided by a TD or less, they beat OSU by 14.

Florida beat OSU by more points than they beat anyone in the SEC. We have been right all along, OSU would finish about 3rd to last in the SEC. Go Bucks!!

60+ million dollars for beating Iowa!!

The Ohio St. Buckeyes have played in a BCS game following the 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2008 seasons. You would think they beat a bunch of great teams and won some big games, right? Well, you don't know Ohio State then. Look at these OSU seasons that got the Big 10 conference over 60 million dollars.

2003

10-2 Season- Payout 15 Million

A win over 10-3 Iowa in Columbus. Lost 2 out of 4 road games, at 7-6 Wisconsin and at 10-3 Michigan.

2005

10-2 Season- Payout 15 Million

Best win was either at 7-5 Michigan or at home against 7-4 Miami of OHIO!! Lost at home to Texas and at Penn State.

2007

11-1 Season- Payout= 15 Million

Took it a step further and faked their way into the National Title game. Who did they beat? Take your pick between Wisconsin, Penn State and Michigan. All of these teams finished 9-4 and they were by far OSU's best attempt at a good win.

2008 Season- Payout= 15 Million

10-2

Best wins? 9-4 Northwestern and 9-4 Michigan St. Blown out at SC and Penn St. beat them at home.

4 years, 60 million dollars and OSU's best win was over 10-3 Iowa in Columbus!! What do Buckeyes fans have to say about this? Are they proud of this? Shamed? What is it? 60 million dollars for beating one team that finished in the top 10!!!

50% for Tressel

"Senator Tressel" took over the Buckeye program in 2001. Since that time the Ohio State Buckeyes are a pathetic 13-13 against teams that finished in the AP top 20 for that season. We look and look, but we just can't find a team that is abusing the "system" more than Ohio State. Here are the ugly results by Tressel broken down even further.

Tressel is 3-4 on the road against teams that finished in the AP top 20. 7 games in 8 years, not even one a year.

Wins

07- at #18 Michigan (9-4) whose starting QB and RB were questionable up until gametime.

06- at #13 Texas (10-3) led by Freshman starter Colt McCoy

01- at #20 Michigan (8-4) Not sure how Michigan finished in the top 20 after getting blown out 45-17 by Tennessee in the bowl game, but they did.

Wow!! That sure is impressive in 8 years. 3 decent wins on the road.

Losses

08- at #3 Southern California (12-1) Just embarrassed 35-3 in LA.
05- at #3 Penn St. (12-1) 17-10
04- at #8 Iowa (10-2) 33-7
03- at #6 Michigan (10-3) 35-21

41 points in 4 games!! Nothing like a 10.25 average!! 120-41!! Can this team win a big game without the officials in their pocket or away from Columbus?

You are getting sleepy.... You think Ohio St. beats good teams.....

Some Ohio State fans have commented that they want to see what other teams are doing against good competition. We picked a few teams and will do some more down the line. Sorry, Ohio St. fans, you are still beating less quality opponents than other good programs. Don't worry, for a nice encore, Ohio State has also played the fewest. Here are some results from the last 30 years of other teams. These are games played against other teams that finished the season in the AP top 10.

All results since 1978

Ohio State Buckeyes- 11-39-3 53 games 21%

Miami Hurricanes- 26-32.
58 games 45%
The Canes have fallen on hard times recently and lost most tough games from 78-83 and 03-08, but still plenty here to blow away the frauds from Columbus.

Michigan- 19-41-1.
61 games 31%
Everybody knows Michigan is ahead of Ohio St. in every category. Here, they play harder games more often and win them at a significantly higher clip.

Florida- 25-52-1.
78 games 32%
Ohio State couldn't breathe in the SEC, their 0-9 bowl record shows it and there are just way too many tough games being played.

Notre Dame- 17-53-1.
71 games 24%
We all know Notre Dame is overrated and they have been down lately. You may not know that ND hasn't beaten a team that finished in the AP top 10 since their win over Florida St. in 1993. They are currently riding an 0-23 streak. Tough times, but they are still clearly better than Ohio State. Playing a lot more tough games too. We thought OSU might actually come out ahead here, but the degree to which OSU is overrated is hard to estimate sometimes.

Tennessee 14-44-3.
61 games 23%
Ohio State has to be better than Tennessee, right? Nope, the Volunteers by a little percentage-wise and of course, playing more harder games.

Auburn 17-40-3. 60 games 28%
Auburn is a respected football team and plays hard all the time, but more wins against the top ten than Ohio St.?? Thought OSU had a chance here, we should have known better.

Florida St. 22-36-1. 59 games 37%
This was obvious. Would you rather play Miami and Florida every year or Michigan St. and Northwestern?

There are seven teams' results from the last 30 years and the Ohio State University is LAST in BOTH categories. They win the least and play the least. More teams to come in the next couple of days. Go Bucks!!

11-39-3!!! Pet Rocks of College Football

Since 1978, the Ohio State Buckeyes are 11-39-3 against teams that finish in the top 10 of the AP poll that season. WOW!! Where do we start? Which is more pathetic? Only 11 wins? 39 losses? Only playing 53 really hard games in 30 years? Do the fans in Columbus ever wonder why they never beat anybody? Going to the BCS is nice and all, but ever think about ACTUALLY earning it, Ohio State? Here are the results from the propaganda machines in red.

OH- No O at Night

In the coming months we are going to hear it all from Columbus. The SC game is in the Shoe, it is crazy there at night. Pryor is a year older, we have a new offensive line. Our young wide receivers..... Well, a real team is coming to Columbus on September 12th and they aren't much for kicking field goals. What a shame, because Ohio State is good at kicking field goals. So good, in fact, that in the last two night games at Ohio Stadium, they have kicked 7 of them. 5 against Texas in 2005 and 2 against Penn State and both times they were beaten. 7 field goals and 1 touchdown for the Bucks in the last two night games at OSU.

The problem for the Mighty Buckeyes on September the 12th? It is going to take at least 8 field goals to beat the Trojans. Since 2002, the least amount of points SC has scored in a non-conference game is 23 in a shutout at Auburn. If anybody can kick 8 field goals, it could be Tressel though, you never know.

Tressel 0-3 in real Big 10 road games

We don't know which part of this stat is more embarrassing for the Mighty Buckeyes. Jim Tressel HAS NOT BEATEN a Big 10 team that lost 3 games or less that season on the road. Is it a bigger joke to have only played 3 such games in 8 years or to lose them all? We just don't know. So, Ohio State can't beat anybody on the road, but don't let that keep them out of the BCS!! 4 straight years in the BCS and they haven't won one tough game in the conference on the road. Here are the losses.

2005 Penn State (11-1) 17-10.

2004 Iowa (10-2) 33-7

2003 Michigan (10-3) 35-21

At least they didn't get TOTALLY blown out!! Top 5 program?? Stop, just stop.
